Happy New Year
- 2015 is over! It was the best of times/it was the worst of times. It began with my Fiore family learning that my cousin was murdered. So Felix and I headed up to RI of yet another funeral. I always enjoy seeing my Fiore cousins; they are wonderful people but I could do without going to funerals in RI. Especially tragic ones.
At mass last night one of my favorite priests suggested we contemplate 2015 and note twelve events/people not necessarily good ones that had a blessed outcome.
So here goes:
- Gianna and my grandson's father went through an ugly breakup but Gianna is a stronger better person.
- My grandson a healthy, happy curious almost two year old.
- My crazy dog Oreo-he drives us all crazy but in the end he rescued all of us.
- Father Greg and his Christian Life group. Father Greg is always available to sit and listen.
- The fact that I am still healthy, despite my failed attempt at curbing sugar and carbohydrates.
- My Wednesday night women's group with all the wonderful women in it.
- Going to NOLA with felix
- Spending New Year's Eve with Maria and Emilio
- My 60th birthday party and all my friends that came especially Diane coming all the way from RI
- Being with Karen Calvo at the end of Gene's illness and being able to see what really matters in the end.
- My friends from OLP especially Daria, Marilyn and Diane and all the students from there I've met up with this year
- The people in my CLC group
